Pharmacological properties
The drug has an antimicrobial effect on streptococci and other microorganisms. Streptocide disrupts the process of assimilation by the microbial cell of its growth factors – folic acid, dihydrofolic acid and other compounds that contain para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA). due to the means of the chemical structure of PABA and sulfonamide, the latter as a competitive acid antagonist is included in the metabolism of microorganisms and disrupts it.
Indications for use
Ulcers, burns, cracks, wounds, pyoderma, pyoderma and other pathological purulent-inflammatory processes of the skin, accompanied by the presence of microorganisms or caused by the latter.
Contraindication
The drug is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to sulfonamides, renal failure, acute porphyria, as well as during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Appropriate safety measures during use
If an allergic reaction occurs at the place of application of the ointment, the use of the drug should be stopped.
Premature discontinuation of treatment with the drug can cause the development of microorganisms resistant to sulfonamides.

When using streptocidal ointment, it is undesirable to take such drugs as digitoxin, hydrochloric acid, caffeine, mezaton, phenobarbital, adrenaline hydrochloride.
