Folic acid

It is a water-soluble vitamin of group B (vitamin B9). It is partially synthesized in the intestine, but the main part of it comes from food. It participates in the process of formation of ribonucleic and deoxyribonucleic acids, takes an active part in the biosynthesis of replaceable amino acids, as well as essential ones – glycine, methionine. It ensures the exchange of proteins necessary for the formation of tissues and organs, reducing the likelihood of developmental defects, and reducing the risk of prematurity and fetal hypotrophy. It participates in the processes of hematopoiesis and maturation of megaloblasts, its deficiency is the main cause of anemia during pregnancy.

Iodine

Necessary for the full functioning of the thyroid gland, which regulates the maturation of the nervous tissue of the fetus. During lactation, iodine deficiency causes the development of hypogalactia. The fetal thyroid gland begins to produce thyroid hormones from the end of the first trimester of pregnancy, and the only source of iodine for it is iodine circulating in the mother’s body. Intrauterine iodine deficiency leads to spontaneous miscarriages and severe consequences of iodine deficiency in the fetus and newborn, which is manifested by a slowdown in the development of bone tissue, lungs, impaired brain formation and, associated with it, insufficient development of the CNS, hearing defects, delayed psychomotor and mental development.

It can be recommended by a doctor for use in dietary diets with unbalanced and irrational nutrition, in order to correct the chemical composition of the diet, as an additional source of folic acid and iodine, especially for women planning pregnancy and during pregnancy.

Active ingredients:

• Folic acid – 400 mcg.
• Iodine – 200 mcg (in the form of potassium iodides).

Excipients (up to a tablet weight of 95 mg): lactose, microcrystalline cellulose (E460), silicic acid, glucose, magnesium stearate (E470).

Does not contain GMOs.

Adults – one tablet at breakfast during meals.
