Artiflex is a combined three-component drug for the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system. It contains glucosamine hydrochloride, ibuprofen and allantoin.
Active ingredients
Due to its combined composition, the drug has chondroprotective, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antiexudative, membrane-protective and antioxidant effects.
Glucosamine hydrochloride is a low molecular weight mucopolysaccharide that stimulates the regeneration of the joint capsule and cartilage tissue of the joint, and also inhibits the processes of cartilage destruction. Improves the synthesis of intra-articular fluid, which acts as a lubricant, improving joint sliding. Glucosamine hydrochloride increases the resistance of chondrocytes to the action of anti-inflammatory cytokines and activates metabolic processes in the joint matrix, thereby contributing to the formation of a stable joint. Increases the elasticity and resistance to compression of cartilage, which are necessary to counteract physical exertion. Glucosamine hydrochloride has a moderate anti-inflammatory effect, therefore enhances the effect of ibuprofen.
Ibuprofen has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.
The analgesic effect of ibuprofen is associated with a decrease in the intensity of inflammation, a decrease in the production and weakening of specific pain mediators (bradykinin analgesics). It reduces pain syndrome, including arthralgia at rest and during movement, reduces morning stiffness and swelling of the joint, and helps to increase the volume of movements.
Allantoin is a herbal preparation of comfrey.
It has anti-inflammatory properties, reduces pain, and stimulates bone tissue regeneration processes.
Methylpyrrolidinone is a transdermal substance that promotes the penetration of the active ingredients of the cream through the skin into the joint tissue.
Indications for use
Treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system accompanied by signs of inflammation, swelling and pain, degenerative-dystrophic changes in the cartilage tissue of the joints and spine, decreased joint mobility (osteoarthrosis, arthropathies, intervertebral osteochondrosis).
Contraindication
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug
- dermatosis, wet eczema;
- asthma and if NSAIDs can trigger an asthma attack.
Method of administration and doses
Apply the cream 2-3 times / day to the skin in the area of inflammation and rub in for 2-3 minutes. The course of treatment is 2 weeks.
Special instructions
Do not apply the cream to open wounds, avoid contact with mucous membranes.
Use with caution in case of concomitant kidney diseases.
Do not exceed the recommended dose and duration of treatment. With prolonged use, side effects of ibuprofen may develop.
The product contains cetostearyl alcohol, which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis); methylparaben (E 218) and propylparaben (E 216), which may cause allergic reactions (possibly delayed).
