Capsiol is a dermatological drug for the treatment and prevention of hair loss, removal and prevention of dandruff.
Composition
- active ingredients: salicylic acid, castor oil, tincture of finely chopped capsicum fruits (Capsici fructus) (1:10) (extractant — 90% ethanol);
- 1 ml of the drug contains: salicylic acid 10 mg, castor oil 100 mg, tincture of finely chopped capsicum fruits (Capsici fructus) (1:10) (extractant – ethanol 90%) 0.1 ml;
- excipient: ethanol 96%.
Contraindication
Skin diseases of various nature, increased skin sensitivity to the components of the drug.
Adverse reactions
Allergic reactions, dryness, peeling, skin irritation, contact dermatitis, urticaria, itching, requiring discontinuation of the drug.
With prolonged use, absorption of the drug into the systemic circulation and the development of side effects characteristic of salicylates are possible: tinnitus, dizziness, epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting, acidosis, tachypnea.

Method of application
Rub the product into the scalp with massaging movements before washing the hair. Leave on the scalp for 1 hour, after which the product must be thoroughly washed off. Apply Capsiol no more than once a week. The course of treatment is 1-2 months. After 3-4 weeks, the course of treatment must be repeated.
Use of single-dose 10 ml bottles. Unscrew the cap. Turn the bottle upside down and, shaking gently, first apply the solution to the areas of the scalp where hair loss is particularly noticeable. Then, part the hair into strands and apply the solution directly to the scalp in each parting.
After using the drug Capsiol, you must wash your hands thoroughly.
Application features
The medicine should not be applied to areas with acute inflammation or skin damage.
Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of running water.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
The use of the drug during pregnancy is contraindicated. If it is necessary to use the drug Capsiol, breastfeeding should be discontinued.
Children
Do not use in children under 12 years of age.
Ability to influence reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms
Unknown.
Overdose
When using large doses of the drug, the keratolytic effect and allergic reactions may be enhanced. Therapy is symptomatic.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions
Topical use of preparations containing salicylic acid should not be combined with oral use of preparations containing acetylsalicylic acid and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Do not use together with benzoyl peroxide and topical retinoid preparations. Salicylic acid may increase the permeability of the skin for other drugs. May enhance the undesirable effects of methotrexate, the hypoglycemic effect of oral antidiabetic drugs, sulfonylurea derivatives.
Storage conditions
Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
Keep out of reach of children.
The medicine cannot be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
