Dietary supplement Cardiomagnyl Tandem.
Active ingredients
Coenzyme Q10 (ubidecarenone) belongs to the group of antioxidants. It is synthesized in the body from the amino acid tyrosine with the participation of vitamins B and C, folic and pantothenic acids, and a number of trace elements. With age, the biosynthesis of coenzyme Q10 progressively decreases, and its consumption during physical and emotional stress, in the pathogenesis of various diseases and oxidative stress increases. The protective role of coenzyme Q10 is due to its participation in the processes of cardiomyocyte energy metabolism and antioxidant properties. It helps protect lipids of biological membranes and lipoprotein particles of the blood from peroxidation, protects DNA and proteins of the body from oxidative modification as a result of the accumulation of reactive oxygen species. Coenzyme Q10 regenerates under the influence of the body’s enzyme systems, which distinguishes it from other antioxidants, which, while performing their function, irreversibly oxidize themselves, requiring additional administration.
Rutin is a flavonoid of the flavonol type, widely distributed in vegetables and fruits. After oral administration, rutin is hydrolyzed in the gastrointestinal tract with the release of quercetin, which is responsible for many of the actions of rutin. Like other polyphenols, rutin has a wide range of beneficial effects, such as myocardial, vasoprotective, antioxidant, cytoprotective, antithrombotic effects. Rutin has antioxidant properties, which allows it to neutralize harmful free radicals in the body. This ability helps protect cells and tissues from oxidative damage, thus supporting general well-being. Rutin has been reported to help reduce high blood pressure, the risk of arteriosclerosis, and inhibit the accumulation of free calcium in platelets, thereby preventing platelet aggregation. In addition, rutin is associated with anti-inflammatory effects, potentially reducing inflammation in various body systems. Rutin promotes the functioning of blood vessels (arteries, veins, capillaries), normalizes the permeability, health and elasticity of blood vessel walls.
Vitamin E (D-alpha-tocopheryl acid succinate) belongs to the fat-soluble vitamins and is necessary for ensuring the normal structure and functioning of cell membranes (shells). It is an active antioxidant, inhibits lipid peroxidation, which is increased in many diseases, prevents damage to cell structures by free radicals. It participates in the processes of tissue respiration, heme and protein biosynthesis, fat and carbohydrate metabolism, cell proliferation and other metabolic processes. Endothelial cells that line the inner surface of blood vessels, enriched with vitamin E, better resist components of blood cells that adhere to this surface. Vitamin E also increases the expression of two enzymes that inhibit the metabolism of arachidonic acid, thereby increasing the release of prostacyclin from the endothelium, which, in turn, dilates blood vessels and inhibits platelet aggregation.
Ginkgo biloba dry extract: The phytochemicals in ginkgo preparations that are considered pharmacologically active are terpenoids, flavonoids, diterpenes, and sesquiterpenes. The main terpenoids are ginkgolides A, B, C, J, and bilobalide, and the primary flavonoids are quercetin, kaempferol, and isorhamnetin. Flavonoids in ginkgo biloba extract are responsible for antioxidant activity and contribute to the neutralization and elimination of free radicals, the regulation of oxidative stress and antilipid peroxidation, inhibit cell aging, enhance memory and concentration, and prevent dizziness. Ginkgolides, especially ginkgolide B, inhibit platelet activating factor and thus are able to influence the rheological properties of blood, reduce brain edema, and improve cerebral blood flow. Ginkgolides contribute to protection against the effects of hypoxic brain damage due to cerebral ischemia, exert a protective effect on blood vessels, preventing the development of atherosclerotic lesions. Ginkgo biloba leaf extract has been shown to reduce the level of cytokines and inflammatory factors, thus exerting an anti-inflammatory effect. Ginkgo biloba has a positive effect on the physiology of the cardiovascular system, improving hemodynamics. It is reported that ginkgo enhances cerebral and peripheral blood circulation, reduces vascular permeability, causes vascular contraction, improves venous tone, relaxes vascular smooth muscle, and reduces platelet aggregation.
