Pharmacodynamics. A complex homeopathic preparation with hypotensive action. normalizes intracardiac hemodynamics, myocardial contractility, arterial tone, kidney function, gently lowers blood pressure and stabilizes it. The mechanism of hypotensive action is due to the effect on the vasomotor center in the medulla oblongata, a decrease in cardiac output, OPSS, the concentration of biogenic amines (catecholamine, dopamine) in the CNS, and an antispasmodic effect.

Increases diuresis and excretion of nitrogenous substances, has antiarrhythmic, antiatherosclerotic, membrane-stabilizing effects. Has a mild sedative effect (reduces feelings of anxiety, fear, depression, emotional tension) due to the effect on the central nervous system.

Ag, neurocirculatory dystonia, coronary artery disease (as part of complex therapy).

Dosage recommendations for adults are given in the table:

Take 30 minutes before or after meals, keep the tablet in the mouth until completely dissolved. The course of treatment is at least 4-6 weeks. After stable normalization of blood pressure indicators, the drug should be taken in a maintenance dose, which is determined individually. The initial dose for children aged 10 years and older is half the recommended dose for adults, and is subsequently determined individually. At the first signs of a hypertensive crisis, 1 tablet of Homviotensin should be dissolved every hour, but not more than 12 tablets per day.

Allergic reactions are possible.

The first signs of improvement in the condition are 1 week after the start of treatment. When replacing β-adrenergic blockers, calcium ion antagonists, ACE inhibitors or other antihypertensive drugs with homviotensin, the latter are taken during the 1st week in half the dose together with homviotensin, in the 2nd week – ¼ of the initial dose, in the third – ¼ of the initial dose every other day, after which they can be canceled, but provided that blood pressure is stable normalized, and continue taking homviotensin alone, or combine it with a minimum dose of an allopathic remedy. The safety of the drug in children from 10 years of age has been proven by clinical studies.

The use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been studied.

In recommended doses, it does not affect the reaction speed when driving vehicles and working with complex mechanisms.

Does not reduce sexual potency in men.

Cases of incompatibility have not been described.

Combined administration of Homviotensin with Homvio-Nervin or with Homviocorin-N enhances the hypotensive effect and improves the quality of life.

Smoking, drinking alcohol and tonic drinks (tea, coffee) weaken the effect of homeopathic remedies.

When taking a large amount of the drug (12 tablets per day), abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea may occur.
