Proctosan Neo rectal suppositories are indicated for the symptomatic treatment of hemorrhoids and itching in the perianal area for a short period of time.
Composition
Active ingredients: sodium heparin, prednisolone acetate, polidocanol;
1 suppository contains sodium heparin 120 IU prednisolone acetate 1.675 mg polidocanol 30 mg;
Excipients: medium-chain triglycerides, colloidal silicon dioxide, solid fat, glycerol tristearate.
Contraindication
Increased sensitivity to the components of the drug infection in the perianal region; tendency to bleeding; specific skin lesions (for example, syphilis); genital herpes other viral infections; secondary skin infections in the absence of appropriate antibiotic therapy.
Method of application
Apply locally.
Suppositories should be injected into the rectum once a day after defecation. With pronounced symptoms, 1 suppository can be administered 2-3 times only during the first day of treatment.
The duration of therapy should not exceed 7 days. In the absence of improvement, it is necessary to study the causes that led to the appearance of symptoms.

The drug should not be used in the first trimester of pregnancy. Caution is recommended when using in late pregnancy (II – III trimester).

Overdose
With local application of the drug, relatively low concentrations can be detected in the systemic circulation, no toxic effects should be expected.
Side effects
Usually, the drug is well tolerated, only in rare cases there may be reactions of increased sensitivity and local skin irritation (there is a small possibility of allergic reactions to polidocanol).
Long-term use can slow down the healing of wounds and cracks and the systemic effect of prednisolone.
Interaction
It is not recommended to use together with other medicinal products for rectal use.
