The combined preparation Linex contains three different types of lactic acid bacteria present in different intestinal sections and representing the natural intestinal microflora. These lyophilized microorganisms retain their viability in the digestive tract, promoting and correcting the physiological balance of the intestinal microbiota.
active ingredients: 1 capsule contains at least 1.2 × 107 CFU of antibiotic-resistant lactic acid bacteria: at least 4.5 × 106 CFU of Lactobacillus acidophilus (sp. L. gasseri), at least 3.0 × 106 CFU of Bifidobacterium infantis, at least 4.5 × 106 CFU of Enterococcus faecium;
excipients: lactose monohydrate, potato starch, dextrin, magnesium stearate;
shell: gelatin, titanium dioxide (E 171).
The capsules are hard.
Pharmacodynamic parameters. The combined preparation Linex contains three different types of lactic acid bacteria present in different intestinal sections and representing the natural intestinal microflora. These lyophilized microorganisms retain their viability in the digestive tract, promoting and correcting the physiological balance of the intestinal microbiota.
The creation of low pH values in the intestinal lumen due to the process of lactose metabolism by lactic acid bacteria ensures optimal efficiency of digestive enzymes and limits the growth and reproduction of pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms. Lactic acid bacteria support this effect by producing bacteriocins – substances with antimicrobial action, as well as by activating the humoral component of the immune system and local defense mechanisms, preventing the adhesion of pathogenic microbes to the intestinal wall. In addition, lactic acid bacteria are necessary in the processes of metabolism of bile pigments and acids in the body, are sources of vitamins K and group B.
Disturbance of the physiological balance of the intestinal microflora occurs as a result of antibiotic and chemotherapy, radiation therapy, changes in geographical and climatic conditions, and the influence of pathogens of a viral or bacterial nature.
Lactobacilli and bifidobacteria are the first to colonize the gastrointestinal tract. For a number of reasons, the normal composition of the intestinal microbiota in newborns may be delayed, causing increased gas formation in the intestines, dyspeptic disorders, and bowel movements. The use of lactic acid bacteria in Linex capsules for prophylactic or therapeutic purposes ensures the preservation of intestinal homeostasis, providing regulation and support of the natural balance of the intestinal microbiota.
Pharmacokinetic parameters. After per os administration, lactic acid bacteria have a local effect in the gastrointestinal tract. Pharmacokinetic parameters were not studied, since absorption into the systemic bloodstream does not occur.
The results of preclinical studies indicate the safety of the drug, its absence of toxic, carcinogenic, mutagenic and teratogenic properties.
Complex therapy of intestinal dysbiosis; prevention and treatment of diarrhea of viral or bacterial etiology (including “traveler’s diarrhea”), as well as diarrhea associated with the use of chemotherapeutic drugs.
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
During meals. single dose: children under 2 years old – 1 capsule; children aged 2-12 years old – 1-2 capsules; children over 12 years old and adults – 2 capsules. frequency of administration: 3 times a day.
Do not combine with hot or alcoholic beverages.
If the child is unable to swallow the entire capsule, its contents are poured into a liquid (volume – 1 teaspoon), which must be taken immediately.
Duration of use – until the patient’s condition improves (determined by the etiological factor of the disease and the individual characteristics of the organism).
Adequate correction of water and electrolyte balance is also necessary.
In case of fever above 38 °C, diarrhea lasting more than 2 days, severe diarrhea with exsicosis and weight loss, mucus or occult blood in the stool, abdominal pain; if the patient has a chronic pathology, such as cardiovascular disease or diabetes mellitus, or immunodeficiency states, a doctor should be consulted before starting the drug. Linex therapy in children under 6 years of age should be carried out exclusively under medical supervision.
Linex should not be taken by patients with glucose and galactose malabsorption syndrome in the gastrointestinal tract, galactosemia or lactase deficiency (1 capsule of the drug contains 98.28 mg of lactose) .
Due to insufficient information on the safety of use in pregnant and breastfeeding women, the use of the drug in this category of patients is not recommended.
There is no information on the effect on the reaction speed when driving vehicles or other mechanisms.
The development of allergic reactions is possible due to the content of a small amount of cow’s milk proteins in the preparation.
No information.
Very rarely, hypersensitivity reactions, itching, and rashes are observed.
Not established. Simultaneous use with antimicrobial drugs is possible. The desired time period between oral administration of these drugs and the next intake of Linex capsules should be 3 hours.
In the original packaging at a temperature of ≤25 °C in a place inaccessible to children. The bottle with capsules must be tightly closed. Use the capsules within 4 months from the moment of opening the bottle.
