Picosen Micro is a laxative for the symptomatic treatment of periodic constipation, when an enema is necessary. Preparation for endoscopic examination of the rectum.
Composition
- active substance: 1 g of gel contains sodium docusate 12 mg;
- excipients: glycerin, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, purified water.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the medicinal product.
Intestinal obstruction, hemorrhoids, anal fissures, anal bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, ulcerative colitis.
Method of application
Apply rectally.
Enter the gel into the rectum using a tube-cannula (microclyse). Remove the protective cap. Insert the pointed part of the tube-cannula into the rectum and squeeze out the contents of the entire tube. Remove the cannula tube without loosening the compression.
If necessary, a drop of gel can be used to lubricate the cannula.
Symptomatic treatment of constipation: 1 tuba-cannula per day.
Preparation for endoscopic examination of the rectum: 1 tube-cannula 5-20 minutes before the scheduled time of defecation.
Features of application
Long-term use is not recommended (in case of ineffectiveness of 1-2 single applications, treatment tactics must be reviewed).

Side effects
From the gastrointestinal tract: proctitis, burning sensation in the anus, rectal pain, rectal bleeding.
The presence of glycerin can cause indigestion and diarrhea.
From the side of the hepatobiliary system: cases of hepatotoxicity have been found with oral use of sodium docusate, especially in patients who simultaneously used other laxatives.
From the side of the skin and subcutaneous tissue: urticaria.
Storage conditions
Store at a temperature not higher than 25°C. Keep out of the reach of children.
