Inulin is a natural polysaccharide that helps: reduce blood glucose levels and normalize carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, and thus can prevent vascular complications in type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome. Due to its effect on lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, it helps reduce weight in people who control their body weight.

Gymnema sylvestre leaf extract is a plant extract that can support healthy glucose metabolism. The leaf extract contains gymnemic acid, which helps reduce the absorption of glucose from the intestine into the blood, and the peptide gurmarin. The peptide gurmarin, acting on the receptors of the tongue, can reduce taste sensations (block sweet taste). Thus, gymnema helps: reduce appetite and reduce cravings for sweet foods. Gymnemic acid can affect blood sugar levels, contributing to: reduce the absorption of glucose from the intestine into the blood, improve the functioning of the pancreas, more effective use of insulin and glucose absorption in cells. In addition, gymnema helps normalize blood lipid levels, and thus can prevent cardiovascular diseases, which are usually a complication of high blood sugar levels.

Importantly, gymnema extract has no side effects and helps lower blood sugar only in diabetics.

Zinc (in the form of zinc bisglycinate) is a source of bioavailable zinc. Zinc helps maintain a healthy immune system, normalizes the functioning of the pancreas and blood glucose levels. Zinc contributes to the production of insulin, and as a component of insulin, it has an antioxidant effect.

Magnesium (in the form of magnesium bisglycinate) is a source of bioavailable magnesium. Magnesium deficiency is often observed in people with diabetes. Chromium (in the form of chromium picolinate) is a source of bioavailable chromium. Chromium participates in biochemical processes, helps regulate blood glucose levels by increasing cell sensitivity to insulin. Consuming chromium on a regular basis helps normalize blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes.
