Sinupret tablets are used for acute and chronic inflammation of the paranasal sinuses.
Composition
One tablet contains (active ingredients) dried medicinal plants in powder form:
- gentian root (Radix Gentianae) – 6 mg;
- primrose flowers with a calyx (Flores Primulae cum Calybus) – 18 mg;
- sorrel herb (Herba RumÑ–sis) – 18 mg;
- elderflowers (Flores Sambuci) – 18 mg,
- verbena herb (Nerba Verbenae) – 18 mg.
Excipients: calcium carbonate (E 170), castor oil, colloidal anhydrous silica, acrylate copolymer, gelatin, glucose, lactose, light magnesium oxide, aluminum hydroxide, copper chlorophyllin (E 141), riboflavin (E 101), corn starch, dextrin, glycolic wax, potato starch, purified water, shellac, sorbitol (E 420), stearic acid, sucrose, talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), indigo carmine (E 132).
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to any of the active or other components of the drug, to other types of primrose, as well as ulcers.
Method of application
Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor:
- adults and children over 12 years old should take two tablets 3 times a day;
- children aged 6 to 11 years – one tablet 3 times a day.
The tablets should be taken without chewing, preferably with sufficient liquid.
Typically, the recommended course of treatment is 7-14 days.
Application features
Pregnant women
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the drug should be used only after consulting a doctor if the benefit of use outweighs the potential risk to the fetus/child.
Children
Due to lack of experience, it is not recommended for use in children under 6 years of age.
Drivers
No special precautions are required.
Overdose
Cases of overdose are currently unknown. If the dose is exceeded, the above-mentioned side effects may be exacerbated, in which case you should consult a doctor.
If you take doses that exceed the recommended ones, you should inform your doctor so that he can decide on the necessary measures.
Side effects
Uncommon gastrointestinal disorders including stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort. Possible hypersensitivity reactions including rash, skin redness, itching, hives, angioedema, shortness of breath, facial swelling.
If any adverse reactions occur, you should stop using the drug and consult a doctor.
Storage conditions
Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C, out of the reach of children.
Shelf life – 3 years.
