Soledum Forte gastro-resistant soft capsules are indicated as part of a comprehensive treatment of bronchitis symptoms and viral respiratory infections, as well as adjunct therapy for chronic and inflammatory respiratory diseases (e.g., paranasal sinusitis).
Composition
Active ingredient: cineole;
1 gastro-resistant soft capsule contains 200 mg of cineole.
Excipients:
Capsule content: medium-chain triglycerides;
Capsule shell: gelatin, glycerin (85%), non-crystallizing sorbitol solution (E420);
Film coating: ethylcellulose, ammonium hydroxide, medium-chain triglycerides, oleic acid, sodium alginate, candelilla wax stearic acid.
Contraindications
Soledum Forte is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cineole or any excipients, in cases of whooping cough, false croup, or in children under 12 years of age.
Dosage and Administration
Swallow Soledum Forte capsules whole with a sufficient amount of moderately warm liquid (preferably one 200 ml glass of water) about 30 minutes before meals. For patients with sensitive stomachs, the capsules can be taken during meals.
Adults: 1 capsule 3 times daily. In severe cases, increase to 1 capsule 4 times daily. For long-term treatment, usually 1 capsule 2 times daily is sufficient.
Children (12+ years): 1 capsule 3 times daily.
Special Precautions
Use with caution in patients with heightened airway sensitivity. Patients with bronchial asthma should use Soledum Forte only under medical supervision. Not recommended for patients with rare congenital fructose intolerance.
If symptoms persist for more than one week or in case of shortness of breath, fever, or purulent/bloody sputum, consult a doctor immediately.
Use During Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Pregnancy: Use only after careful risk-benefit assessment.
Breastfeeding: Cineole may pass into breast milk. Consult a doctor before use.
Overdose
No specific data for cineole. High doses of eucalyptus oil may cause CNS disturbances (confusion, fatigue, weakness, miosis, and in severe cases coma and respiratory issues). Treatment is symptomatic.
Side Effects
Occasionally gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea, diarrhea). Rare hypersensitivity reactions reported (facial swelling, itching, shortness of breath, cough, dysphagia). Discontinue immediately if any allergic reaction occurs.
Interactions
High doses of cineole may reduce the efficacy or duration of other drugs, but no such effect observed in humans at recommended doses.

Store at temperatures below 30°C in the original packaging. Keep out of reach of children. Shelf life: 36 months.
