Composition
active ingredient: sulfur;
1 g of ointment contains 0.33 g of sulfur;
excipients: white soft paraffin, purified water, emulsifier T2.

Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics.
Sulfuric ointment simply has antimicrobial and antiparasitic effects. When sulfur interacts with organic substances, sulfides and pentathionic acid are formed, which have an antiseptic effect.
Pharmacokinetics.
When sulfur ointment is applied externally, simple sulfur and soft white paraffin, which are part of its composition, are practically not absorbed into the systemic circulation.
Indication
Skin diseases – seborrhea, sycosis, mycoses, psoriasis. Treatment of scabies (as part of combination therapy).
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Interaction with other drugs and other types of interactions.
When used simultaneously with drugs for external use, new compounds with unpredictable effects may be formed. Interaction of the ointment with oxidants (hydrogen peroxide, potassium permanganate) may lead to a chemical burn.
Application features.
Avoid contact of the ointment with mucous membranes and eyes. Wash hands thoroughly after applying the ointment.

Method of administration and doses
Sulfur ointment is easy to apply externally. Apply the ointment to the affected areas of the skin 2-3 times a day. When treating scabies, the scheme of application of the drug and the requirements for compliance with the rules of personal hygiene are determined individually by the doctor.
Children
Contraindicated in children under 3 years of age. Children aged 3 to 12 years should use the drug only on the recommendation of a doctor, taking into account the benefit/risk ratio.
