Pharmacological properties

Benzydamine is an NSAID with analgesic and antiexudative effects. when applied locally, benzydamine also has an antiseptic and local anesthetic effect. with the help of a spectrofluorimeter, it was established that benzydamine adheres to the vaginal epithelium and reaches a concentration of 9.7 ± 6.24 μg / g. gradual absorption causes a low concentration of the drug in the blood plasma, which is not enough for systemic pharmacological effects. excretion mainly occurs with urine in the form of inactive metabolites or conjugated substances.

Indication

Vulvovaginitis of various etiology, characterized by small discharge from the vagina, itching, irritation, burning and pain in the external genitalia. for hygiene in the postpartum period.

Application

Apply the drug 1-2 times a day for no more than 7 days. in case of persistence of symptoms, treatment should be stopped and a doctor should be consulted.

P-r can be used at room temperature. For heating, place the closed bottle under a stream of hot water for several minutes.

The procedure should be performed lying down, the liquid should remain in the vagina for several minutes. For one-time irrigation, use the entire volume of the bottle of 140 ml.

When using a sachet, it is necessary to dissolve the contents of 1-2 sachets in 1 liter of water.

With bacterial vaginosis: vaginal irrigation is carried out 1-2 times a day for 7-10 days.
In case of non-specific vulvovaginitis and cervicovaginitis of various etiologies, including those arising a second time against the background of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, in case of specific vulvovaginitis – as part of complex therapy 2 times a day for at least 10 days.
In the prevention of pre- and postoperative complications in operative gynecology and in the postpartum period as a hygienic means – 1 time a day for 3-5 days.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or other components of the drug.

Side effects

Rarely – irritation at the site of application, especially with prolonged use. sometimes drowsiness, allergic reactions, including skin rash, itching may occur.

Special instructions

Long-term treatment with drugs for local use can lead to symptoms of hypersensitivity. in this case, the use of the drug should be stopped and appropriate therapy should be carried out. before using the drug, in the case of vaginal bleeding and / or whiteness, it is necessary to consult a doctor.

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. There are no contraindications for use during this period.

Children. There is no sufficient experience of use in children.
