“Traumeel S” is a multicomponent drug in the form of an ointment. Active components of the ointment:

100 g of the drug contain:

• Achillea millefolium (tree) D0 — 0.09 g;
• Aconitum napellus (aconite) D1 — 0.05 g;
• Arnica montana (mountain arnica) D3 — 1.5 g;
• Atropa belladonna (ordinary belladonna) D1 — 0.05 g;
• Bellis perennis (perennial daisy) D0 — 0.1 g;
• Calendula officinalis (marigold) D0 — 0.45 g;
• Echinacea (echinacea) D0 — 0.15 g;
• Echinacea purpurea (purple echinacea) D0 — 0.15 g;
• Hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) D0 — 0.45 g;
• Hepar sulfuris (hepar sulfur) D6 — 0.025 g;
• Hypericum perforatum (St. John’s wort) D6 — 0.09 g;
• Matricaria recutita (chamomile) D0 — 0.15 g;
• Mercurius solubilis Hahnemanni (mercurius solubilis) D6 – 0.04 g;
• Symphytum officinale (comfrey) D4 — 0.1 g.

Excipients: viscous paraffin, emulsified cetostearyl alcohol (type A), white soft paraffin, purified water, ethanol 96%.

“Traumeel S” ointment for external use is a homogeneous consistency from white to reddish-white in color with a faint specific odor, but without bitterness.

The manufacturer of the drug is Biologische Heilmittel Heel GmbH, Germany.

When using Traumeel S ointment, the intensity of the inflammatory reaction in the tissues is reduced, pathological symptoms in degenerative joint diseases are eliminated (arthritis, arthrosis, tendinopathy, rotator cuff syndrome, cervical-scapular syndrome, epicondylitis, computer mouse syndrome). It is used for pain syndrome after injuries and swelling. Improves microcirculation in damaged areas and promotes the activation of regenerative processes. Regulates the action of cytokines responsible for the effectiveness of the inflammatory reaction, keeping inflammation within physiological limits.

The drug has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-exudative, immunocorrective, and reparative effects, which are based on the activation of the body’s defenses and the normalization of impaired functions due to substances of plant and mineral origin that are part of the drug.

“Traumeel” (ointment) is used for the following indications:

• inflammatory, microtraumatic and degenerative processes in the structures of the musculoskeletal system (tendovaginitis, shoulder-scapular periarthritis, bursitis, arthritis of the hip, knee, foot and hand joints);
• inflammatory processes of the skin;
• damage due to household or sports injuries (bruises, dislocations, hematomas, sprains, fractures, hemarthrosis).

Traumeel S ointment is also prescribed for bruises and burns.

“Traumeel S” (ointment) is used externally (locally). It is recommended to apply a thin layer to the skin in the affected areas. Method of application for adults and children from birth: a small amount of the product is applied with light movements, rubbing. Frequency of application – 2-3 times a day, 5-6 times – for acute injuries.

The course of treatment is 14–28 days. In case of post-traumatic complications, the duration of use of “Traumeel S” in the form of ointment is 14 days, in case of inflammatory processes – 21–28 days.

Cases of overdose are unknown. Do not cover large areas with ointment. Avoid contact with mucous membranes, open wounds or damaged skin surfaces.

During the treatment period, there are no restrictions on driving vehicles or working with complex mechanisms.

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the drug should only be prescribed after consulting a doctor.

Application for children

The ointment is approved for use from birth on the advice of a doctor.

Hypersensitivity reactions in the form of skin rash, redness or itching sometimes develop as side effects. If they appear, the use of the drug should be discontinued.

The manufacturer notes the following contraindications to the use of the ointment:

individual intolerance to any component of the drug and excipients: arnica, chamomile, yarrow or other plants of the Asteraceae family.

Combination with other medications is allowed. As prescribed by a doctor, the drug can be combined with other medications and treatment methods.

The product can be stored for 3 years from the date of manufacture.

It is recommended to store the ointment in its original packaging at a temperature of +15 to +25°C. Keep out of the reach of children.

The ointment is available in a 50-gram tube with a screw cap. It is packed in a cardboard box. Instructions for use are included with each package.
