The drug Tricardin Heart Drops is used for functional disorders of the cardiovascular system (neurocirculatory dystonia, vegetoneurosis), as a sedative for nervous excitement and insomnia.

Composition

1 ml of drops contains (active ingredients):

  • valerian tincture (tinctura Valerianae) (1: 5) (extractant – ethanol 70%) – 0.34 ml;
  • hawthorn tincture (tinctura Сrataegi) (1:10) (extractant – ethanol 70%) – 0.33 ml;
  • Motherwort tincture (tinctura Leonuri) (1: 5) (extractant – ethanol 70%) – 0.33 ml.

Contraindication

  • history of alcoholism;
  • simultaneous intake of drugs containing alcohol;
  • stomach and duodenal ulcer;
  • cirrhosis;
  • pregnancy and breastfeeding;
  • depression and other disorders accompanied by central nervous system depression;
  • severe hypotension and bradycardia;
  • hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Method of application

“Tricardin heart drops” is prescribed orally to adults 20-30 drops 3 times a day before meals. Children over 12 years old – at the rate of one drop per 1 year of life 3 times a day before meals.

The duration of the treatment course is determined individually for each patient, taking into account the nature and severity of the pathological process, the characteristics of the course of the disease, the tolerability of the drug, and the stability of the achieved therapeutic effect.

Children

Do not prescribe to children under 12 years of age.

Drivers

During the period of use of the drug, you should refrain from driving or working with other mechanisms.

Overdose

If the recommended doses are significantly exceeded, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, bradycardia, decreased blood pressure, general weakness, abdominal pain, nausea, decreased hearing and vision, palpitations, mental agitation, and manifestations of hypersensitivity may occur, which require discontinuation of the drug and symptomatic therapy.

Side effects

Cardiovascular system: hypotension, significant slowing of heart rate.

From the nervous system: depression, inhibition of emotional reactions, dizziness, drowsiness.

On the part of the digestive system: nausea, spastic abdominal pain.

Allergic reactions: redness, rash, itching, swelling of the skin.

Storage conditions

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, out of the reach of children.
