Method of application
Children over 12 years of age and adults should apply Aherp cream to the affected areas 5 times a day at 4-hour intervals, except at night. It is important to start treatment as early as possible after the first symptoms of the disease appear. The minimum duration of treatment is 4 days. If healing has not occurred during this time, treatment is continued for up to 10 days. If recovery has not occurred within 10 days, you should consult a doctor.
Application features
Accidental contact of the cream with the eyes should be avoided. If there are open lesions on the lips, it should be borne in mind that the herpes simplex virus can be transmitted to other people by contact. Aherp cream should be used only for herpetic lesions of the mucous membrane of the lips and facial skin. It is not recommended to apply the drug to the mucous membranes of the oral cavity, eyes and genitals. In case of particularly pronounced manifestations of the disease, it is necessary to consult a doctor. Usually, in the presence of herpetic lesions in people with immunodeficiency states, systemic treatment with antiviral agents is prescribed, therefore, in such cases, Aherp should not be used independently without consulting a doctor.
Pregnant women
Aherp is used in pregnant and breastfeeding women if the expected benefit to the patient outweighs the possible risk to the fetus or child.
Children
Aherp is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age due to insufficient observations.
