Lactimac Forte is a dietary supplement with a combination of probiotics and prebiotics that restore normal intestinal microflora and help strengthen immunity.
Active ingredients
Lactic acid (lacto- and bifido) bacteria Laktimac Forte are part of the normal human intestinal flora and play an important role in ensuring colonization resistance to pathogenic factors, immunostimulating, vitamin-forming, detoxification and digestive functions of the body. The antimicrobial activity of lactic acid bacteria is manifested in relation to staphylococci, Proteus, enteropathogenic Escherichia coli and fungi of the genus Candida and is associated with their ability to produce lactic acid, lactocins, hydrogen peroxide, acetic and propylene acids, lysozyme. Lactic acid bacteria reduce the pH of the intestinal contents, prevent the growth and reproduction of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microflora. Lactobacteria are a barrier to the penetration of sensitizing substances (endotoxins, bacterial and food allergens) from the intestine.
Due to the content of Saccharomyces boulardii, Laktimak Forte has an enhanced protective and restorative ability against normal intestinal microflora. The main mechanism of action is associated with direct antagonism (antimicrobial action), which is due to the ability of Saccharomyces boulardii to inhibit the growth of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms and fungi that disrupt the intestinal biocenosis, such as: Clostridium difficile, Clostridium pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida krusei, Candida pseudotropical, Candida albicans, Salmonella typhi, Salmonella enteritidis, Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteriae, Shigella flexneri, Klebsiella, Proteus, Vibrio cholerae, as well as Enthamoeba hystolitica, Lambliae; Enterovirus, Rotavirus.
An important feature of Lactimac Forte is its uniquely selected composition, which ensures stable effectiveness when taking antibiotics and antifungal drugs, in turn allowing their simultaneous use with Lactimac Forte. This property is determined by the genetic resistance of Saccharomyces boulardii to antibiotics, as well as the resistance of probiotic bacteria to antifungal drugs. Therefore, to restore microflora and protect the normal biocenosis of the digestive tract when taking such drugs, the use of Lactimac Forte is recommended.
Bacteria that are part of the dietary supplement also participate in the metabolism of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, nucleic and bile acids, activate the immune system by stimulating the synthesis of immunoglobulins, interferons, cytokines. They participate in the formation of local immunity, activate the repair of mucous membranes and reduce the sensitivity of the intestinal epithelium to pathogenic bacteria.
Bacteria also act as a natural biosorbent that neutralizes toxins, accumulates toxic substances and removes them from the body, thereby reducing excessive toxic load and allergization of the body.
Oligosaccharides belong to the class of prebiotics and, in turn, act as a selective substrate for the growth and development of bacteria, and therefore improve the colonization of the intestine with beneficial probiotic microorganisms.
Recommendations for use
Lactimac Forte is used to restore intestinal microflora in the following conditions:
- imbalance of intestinal microflora, characterized by symptoms such as diarrhea, constipation, bloating, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, belching, abdominal pain
- acute and chronic bacterial diarrhea
- acute viral diarrhea
- travelers’ diarrhea
- prevention and treatment of diarrhea associated with antibiotic use
- pseudomembranous colitis and diseases caused by Clostridium difficile
- irritable bowel syndrome
- diarrhea associated with prolonged enteral, irregular and irrational nutrition
- microflora disorders with reduced immunity, stress.
It is recommended to consult a doctor before use.
Method of application
The recommended dose for children from 6 years of age and adults is 1 capsule 2 times a day.
Application features
Lactimac Forte can be used simultaneously with antibiotics and antifungal drugs. In this case, the recommended interval between taking the antibiotic or antifungal drug and Lactimac Forte is 2 hours.
Precautions
Hypersensitivity to the components. Exceed the recommended daily dose. Use with caution when taken simultaneously with immunosuppressants such as cyclosporine, azathioprine and others, as well as chemotherapeutic drugs.
Side effect
Laktimak Forte is usually well tolerated, but side effects such as excessive gas formation may occur.
