Nasivin nasal spray dosed 0.05% bottle 10 ml

• 1 ml of solution contains oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.5 mg;
• excipients: citric acid monohydrate; sodium citrate; glycerin (85%); benzalkonium chloride solution 50%; purified water.

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

Dry rhinitis.

After transsphenoidal hypophysectomy or other surgical interventions involving the dura mater.

Children’s age up to 6 years.

Adults and children over 6 years of age – use 2–3 times a day, 1 spray in each nostril at a time.

Apply the indicated single dose of the drug Nasivin, a nasal spray, no more than 3 times a day.

Do not use the drug for more than 7 days. Do not use doses that exceed the recommended ones.

The spray mechanism is activated by pressing the finger rest. Before first use, remove the protective cap, hold the nasal spray in your hand and press the pump several times until a stable aerosol mist is formed. Hold the spray nozzle at the entrance to each nostril and spray once. After use, clean the sprayer and, if necessary, the protective cap.

Application features

The preservative (benzalkonium chloride) contained in the drug “Nasivin, nasal spray dosed” may cause swelling of the nasal mucosa, especially with prolonged use. If such a reaction is suspected (chronic nasal congestion), another drug for intranasal administration that does not contain preservatives should be used. If there is no nasal drug without preservatives, another dosage form should be used.

Pregnant women

During pregnancy, the drug is used with extreme caution, taking into account a balanced assessment of the benefit-risk ratio. Exceeding the recommended dosage is not recommended, as an overdose may impair the blood supply to the fetus.

Children

Do not use the drug in children under 6 years of age.

Drivers

Nasivin, nasal spray, dosed, has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive and use machines. After prolonged use of the drug in doses exceeding the recommended ones, a general effect on the cardiovascular system cannot be excluded. In such cases, the ability to drive may be impaired.

Central nervous system stimulation manifests itself in the form of anxiety, agitation, hallucinations, and seizures.

Central nervous system depression is manifested by decreased body temperature, lethargy, drowsiness, and coma.

Other symptoms may include miosis, mydriasis, fever, sweating, pallor, cyanosis, palpitations, tachycardia, bradycardia, cardiac arrhythmia, cardiac arrest, hypertension, shock-like hypotension, nausea and vomiting, respiratory depression and apnea, and psychogenic disorders.

Nervous system disorders: restlessness, insomnia, fatigue (drowsiness, sedation), headache, hallucinations (especially in children).

From the cardiovascular system: palpitations, tachycardia, arterial hypertension, arrhythmias.

From the respiratory system, chest organs and mediastinum: burning and dryness of the nasal mucosa, sneezing, depletion effect, increased swelling of the mucous membrane, epistaxis after discontinuation of use, apnea in young children and newborns.

Musculoskeletal and connective tissue disorders: convulsions (predominantly in children)

Immune system disorders: hypersensitivity reactions (angioedema, rash, itching).

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of the reach of children.
