Functional properties of the components.
As a rule, the body receives a sufficient amount of vitamins and minerals with a varied and balanced diet and adherence to the principles of a healthy lifestyle. However, seasonal respiratory viral infections are observed during periods of the year when, together with adverse weather conditions, the body and the state of the immune system may be affected by an insufficient intake of certain vitamins and minerals.

A balanced level of vitamin C contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system. Vitamin C enhances the synthesis of interferons and phagocytosis, promotes the migration of lymphocytes to the site of inflammation and infection. Vitamin C has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, neutralizes free radicals, thereby supporting the immune system and reducing oxidative stress. It also normalizes capillary permeability and is a factor in protecting the body from the effects of stress.

Vitamin D and zinc also participate in the regulation of many components of innate and adaptive immunity. An optimal level of vitamin D in the body activates various mechanisms of natural (innate) immunity, modulates the activity of the cellular immune response, and helps reduce excessive inflammatory responses. Thus, vitamin D may help reduce the risk of respiratory infections. Zinc actively contributes to strengthening the body’s defense functions by supporting the function of the central immune organ—the thymus—ensuring the preservation of cellular immune activity, as it is responsible for the maturation of lymphocytes. It also helps maintain the barrier function of the lungs during inflammation. Zinc deficiency is associated with an increased risk of respiratory infections in elderly individuals.

Directions for use

Adults and children aged 14 years and older should take 1 capsule once daily after meals, with a sufficient amount of drinking water.
