LORECT spray is an effective antiseptic hygienic and prophylactic agent of natural origin, obtained by oxidizing fish oil using an isotonic sodium chloride solution.
The raw material for the preparation is fish oil, isolated from the organs and tissues of marine animals and containing a large amount of omega-3, omega-6, omega-9 unsaturated fatty acids, as well as vitamins D3, A, E. When fish oil interacts with an isotonic aqueous solution of sodium chloride in the presence of atmospheric oxygen and when heated, the oxidation process of fish oil components occurs. During the oxidation process of fatty acids in fish oil, carbonyl compounds are formed that have antimicrobial activity against pyogenic (pyogenic) microflora – Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus, Escherichia coli, staphylococci, as well as against yeast fungi of the genus Candida. Such activity is associated with the peculiarity of the structure of carbonyl compounds, which determines their ability to inactivate many enzymes of the microbial cell, which leads to the inhibition of vital metabolic processes in it.
As a result of the process of oxidation of natural fish oil naturally without the addition of chemical reagents and oxidants, the hygienic and prophylactic agent “LORECT Spray” was obtained, which is the only one that contains the amount of carbonyl compounds sufficient to demonstrate the necessary antimicrobial and antiseptic activity.
The presence of carbonyl compounds in the presence of isotonic sodium chloride solution helps to destroy microbes on the mucous membrane of the nasal and oral cavities, without disturbing its normal microflora; remove viruses, bacteria and allergens; moisturize and cleanse the nasal mucosa, removing excess mucus, crusts and the smallest particles after operations without the risk of bleeding. As a result, the function of the ciliated epithelium improves, the resistance of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses to the penetration of pathogenic bacteria and viruses increases, and the rheological properties of mucus are normalized. The proposed agent helps to restore the patency and normal functioning of the respiratory tract, accelerates recovery in diseases of the nasopharynx and paranasal sinuses.
The product is a clear yellow liquid. During storage, a light brown precipitate may appear, which is easily broken up when shaken.
