Optinol Intensive eye drops (10 ml in a bottle) are a substitute for natural tears to solve the problem of dry eyes of varying degrees (dry eye syndrome), in case of insufficient secretion or changes in its composition.

Active ingredients

Thanks to the combination of active ingredients, Optinol Intensive has a double effect. Sodium hyaluronate – moisturizes and stabilizes the tear film. Dexpanthenol – soothes, protects and regenerates the surface of the eye, creating a sterile, transparent protective layer on the cornea.

Hyaluronic acid is a component of the medical product sodium hyaluronate, and has a chemical structure, molecular weight, and rheological properties similar to mucin (a component of human tears). Due to its properties, hyaluronic acid moisturizes the eye without impairing vision. In addition, its ability to bind water helps keep the surface of the eye moist and reduces tear evaporation from the surface of the eye. Sodium hyaluronate is not absorbed after topical application.

Dexpanthenol is a derivative of d-pantothenic acid, which is a water-soluble vitamin of group B. The increased need for this acid in the damaged mucous membrane and its possible deficiency can be compensated by the local use of dexpanthenol. Due to its anti-inflammatory and antipruritic properties, as well as the ability to accelerate granulation and re-epithelialization, dexpanthenol promotes the healing of eye inflammations of non-bacterial genesis. Dexpanthenol enhances the moisture-resistant properties of sodium hyaluronate.
Optinol Intensive, or the so-called “artificial tears”, are used to protect, moisturize and regenerate the surface of the eye.

The use of drops provides a faster solution to the problem of discomfort associated with the action of such factors:

  • exposure to wind, sun, smoke, central heating, air conditioners, chlorinated water, diagnostic eye procedures, fluorescent lighting, prolonged use of a computer monitor, wearing contact lenses;
  • use of medications that can cause dryness and irritation of the eye surface;
  • diseases and conditions that can cause dryness and discomfort in the eye.

Method of use

Instill 1-2 drops into the eye several times a day or as needed. After instillation, blink several times to evenly distribute the solution over the entire surface of the eye. The drops do not contain preservatives, so they can be used for a long time. Other eye products should be used at intervals of at least 15 minutes.

Special instructions

Optinol Intensive is compatible with all types of contact lenses and can provide a feeling of comfort when wearing contact lenses. The Optinol Intensive eye dropper has a filter that protects the contents of the container from contamination after opening for 180 days.

Optinol Intensive is intended for individual use by one person only. In case of severe or persistent dry eye, a doctor should be consulted.

Immediately after instillation of the drops, visual acuity may be reduced. Therefore, it is recommended to refrain from driving a car or other mechanisms during this period.

10 ml of solution contain sodium hyaluronate – 0.15%, dexpanthenol – 2%, sodium chloride, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, sodium phosphate anhydrous, purified water.
