Tormentil is used for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (gastritis, dyspepsia, enteritis, enterocolitis); gastric, intestinal and uterine (inflammation) bleeding. Externally – for inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and throat.
Composition
- Active ingredient: cinquefoil erect rhizome.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the biologically active substances of the drug. Constipation.
Adverse reactions
Hypersensitivity reactions may develop. Irritation of the mucous membrane may occur. When taken internally, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting may occur. If adverse reactions occur, discontinue use of the drug and consult a doctor.
Method of application
Place 1 tablespoon of crushed rhizomes in an enameled dish, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and infuse in a boiling water bath for 30 minutes, strain, squeeze the residue to a strained decoction. Bring the volume of the decoction to 200 ml with boiled water. Apply warm 30-40 minutes before meals: adults – 1 tablespoon 3-5 times a day. The course of treatment is 2-4 weeks.
For external use in adults and children as a rinse.

Overdose

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions
The interval between the use of the drug and the use of other medications should be at least 1 hour.
