Cetlo Plus is a combined antihistamine drug used to treat colds of allergic origin.
Composition
Active ingredients: dextromethorphan, levocetirizine.
One tablet contains dextromethorphan hydrobromide 7.5 mg, levocetirizine dihydrochloride 5 mg.
Excipients: corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, talc, croscarmellose sodium, colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose, titanium dioxide.
Contraindication
Do not use if the patient is hypersensitive to one of the components that make up the drug.
It is also not used if a person has: severe renal failure, bronchial asthma, severe liver dysfunction, simultaneous use with MAO inhibitors, simultaneous use with antidepressants, simultaneous use with drugs for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, bronchial asthma, respiratory failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, emphysema, chronic persistent productive cough.
During treatment, you should not drink alcoholic beverages.
In pediatric practice, it is used in patients over 12 years of age.
Method of application
This medicine is administered orally.
Adults and children over 12 years of age take 1 tablet once a day.
The tablet is taken without chewing, with a small amount of water, regardless of food intake.
The duration of treatment is determined by the attending physician.

The drug is contraindicated for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Drivers
Due to possible adverse reactions, you should refrain from driving or operating machinery.
Overdose
An overdose of this medication can cause symptoms such as: respiratory depression, hallucinations, flushing, tachycardia, drowsiness, irritability, tremor, psychosis, nystagmus, dyspeptic disorders – nausea, vomiting, deterioration of liver and kidney function.
In case of respiratory depression, artificial ventilation can be used, as can the dextromethorphan antagonist, naloxone.
This drug can be used if the dosage exceeds the maximum permissible by 100 or more times.
Side effects
Therapy with this drug, in case of manifestations of a hypersensitivity reaction, may cause allergic reactions in the form of: itching, hives, skin rash, swelling.
The following may also occur:
- drowsiness, dizziness, lethargy, mental dependence, anxiety, fears, convulsions
- agitation, irritability, diplopia, miosis, otitis, hysteria, neuritis, suppression of cough reflex, shortness of breath
- nausea, abdominal pain, other dyspeptic symptoms
- orthostatic hypotension, loss of consciousness, tachycardia, headache
- increased sputum viscosity, nasal congestion
- jaundice, hepatitis, other liver disorders
- urination disorders, dysuria
- urinary tract spasms, urinary retention
- anaphylactic shock, hemolytic anemia, dry mouth, throat, and nose.
If you experience any unusual side effects as a result of taking this drug, you should consult your doctor about possible changes to your treatment regimen.
Storage conditions
The shelf life of the drug is no more than 2 years from the date of manufacture indicated on the package.
Store in a dry place out of the reach of children, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
