Spasms of smooth muscles associated with diseases of the biliary tract: cholecystolithiasis, cholangiolithiasis, cholecystitis, pericholecystitis, cholangitis, papillitis.
Spasms of smooth muscles in diseases of the urinary tract: nephrolithiasis, urethrolithiasis, pyelitis, cystitis, bladder tenesmus.
Hypersensitivity to drotaverine or any component of the drug. Severe liver, kidney or heart failure (low cardiac output syndrome).
Adults: the usual average dose is 120-240 mg per day in 2-3 doses.
For children aged 6-12 years: the maximum daily dose is 80 mg (divided into 2 doses).
For children older than 12 years: the maximum daily dose is 160 mg (divided into 2-4 doses).
The use of the drug is contraindicated for children under 6 years of age.
The use of drotaverine in children has not been evaluated in clinical studies.
Pregnancy. The results of retrospective clinical studies showed that oral use of the drug did not cause any signs of any direct or indirect effect on pregnancy. However, it is necessary to prescribe the drug to pregnant women with caution.
Breast feeding. Due to the lack of data during breastfeeding, the use of the drug is not recommended.
