Methyluracil tablets of 0.5 g, blister pack of 10 pcs

The active substance is methyluracil (one tablet contains 500 mg of methyluracil).

Excipients: potato starch, povidone (low molecular weight medical polyvinylpyrrolidone), stearic acid.

• hypersensitivity to methyluracil or other components of the drug;
• with acute and chronic (usually myeloid) forms of leukemia, lymphogranulomatosis, malignant bone marrow diseases.

Internally, during or after meals, with a small amount of water.

Recommended dosage:

• adults – 500 mg 4 times a day (if necessary – up to 6 times a day);
• children from 3 to 8 years old – 250 mg (1/2 tablet 3 times a day);
• children from 8 years old – 250-500 mg 3 times a day.

The course of treatment is determined by the doctor depending on the nature and course of the disease.

The course of treatment for peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum is usually 30-40 days, in other cases the course of treatment may be shorter.

Children

The drug should not be used for the treatment of children under 3 years of age.

Drivers

There is no information on the effect of the drug on the ability to drive vehicles and work with complex mechanisms. Until the patient’s individual reaction to the drug is clarified, one should refrain from driving a motor vehicle or working with mechanisms, given that during treatment with methyluracil such adverse reactions from the nervous system as dizziness are possible.

From the side of the nervous system: headache, dizziness.

Allergic reactions: hyperemia, swelling of the face, urticaria, spotted rashes on the skin of the face and neck.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature no higher than 25 °C, in a place inaccessible to children.
