With an overdose of Anusol suppositories, toxic phenomena may develop due to excitation of the central nervous system. Treatment begins with stopping psychomotor agitation, administration of pilocarpine or proserin, repeated gastric lavage, and administration of a saline laxative through a gastric tube.
Dry mouth, thirst, constipation, tachycardia, mydriasis, convulsions, urinary retention, burning in the anus, allergic reactions may occur.
Anusol weakens or neutralizes the effect of m-cholinomimetics, anticholinesterase substances. Potentiates the arrhythmogenic effect of MAO inhibitors, cardiac glycosides, clofelin, cholinolytic properties of quinidine, novocainamide, effects of barbiturates, adrenomimetics, antihistamines, tranquilizers.
Store in a dry place protected from light at a temperature of 8 °C to 15 °C.
