Bactopic ointment 2% tube 15 g

Active ingredient: mupirocin;

1 g of ointment contains – 20 mg of mupirocin;

Excipients: polyethylene glycol 3350, polyethylene glycol 400.

Hypersensitivity to mupirocin or to any other component of the drug.

This dosage form is not intended for ophthalmic and intranasal use.

A small amount of ointment should be applied to the affected areas of the skin 2-3 times a day for a period of up to 10 days, depending on the response to treatment.

A bandage can be applied to the area of ​​skin treated with the ointment.

The drug is intended for external use.

After applying the drug to the skin, wash your hands thoroughly.

Do not mix the ointment with other drugs, as diluting the ointment reduces its antibacterial activity and may lose the stability of mupirocin in the ointment.

Pregnant women

It should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit to the mother outweighs the possible risk to the fetus.

Children

Used for children from 2 months of age.

Symptoms: Experience with symptoms of mupirocin overdose is limited.

Treatment: There is no specific treatment. Symptomatic therapy and appropriate monitoring of the patient’s condition are indicated.

• Immune system disorders: systemic allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, generalized rash, urticaria and angioedema.
• Skin and subcutaneous tissue: burning sensation at the site of ointment application, eczema, itching, erythema, pain and dryness of the skin at the site of ointment application. Skin hypersensitivity reactions: rash, increased exudation, swelling at the site of ointment application, contact dermatitis.
• From the nervous system: headache, dizziness.
• Gastrointestinal tract: nausea, abdominal pain, ulcerative stomatitis.

No interactions with other drugs have been identified.
