Urolesan Oral Drops is a natural herbal remedy formulated to support urinary tract health and alleviate discomfort associated with urinary tract infections (UTIs), kidney stones, and other urinary system issues. This plant-based formula contains a unique blend of essential oils and extracts, including pine oil, castor oil, peppermint oil, and extracts of wild carrot and oregano, which work together to relieve inflammation, improve urine flow, and promote the elimination of kidney stones.
Combined preparation of plant origin. the components of Urolesan reduce inflammation in the urinary tract and kidneys, promote increased blood circulation in the kidneys and liver, have diuretic, antibacterial, choleretic effects, form a protective colloid in the urine, and normalize the tone of the smooth muscles of the upper urinary tract and gall bladder.
Urolesan increases the excretion of urea and chlorides, promotes the removal of small stones and sand from the bladder and kidneys.
The drug is well absorbed, its action begins after 20-30 minutes and lasts for 4-5 hours. The maximum effect occurs after 1-2 hours. It is excreted through the digestive tract and kidneys.
Acute and chronic infections of the urinary tract and kidneys (cystitis and pyelonephritis); urolithiasis and uric acid diathesis (prevention of calculi formation after their removal); chronic cholecystitis (including calculous), biliary dyskinesia, gallstone disease.
Urolesan oral drops. take the drug orally before meals. recommended dose for adults: 8-10 drops (on sugar, for patients with diabetes – on bread) 3 times a day. with renal and hepatic colic, a single dose is 15-20 drops. duration of reception is 5-7 days, with chronic conditions – 7 days-1 month.
Recommended dose for children aged 7-14 years: 5-6 drops (on sugar, for patients with diabetes – on bread) 3 times a day.
The single dose, frequency and duration of treatment are determined individually by the doctor.
Urolesan syrup. The drug should be taken orally before meals. Recommended dosage for adults: 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of syrup 3 times a day. In acute conditions (including renal and hepatic colic), the duration of the therapy course is 5-7 days, in chronic conditions – from 7 days to 1 month. In the event of renal and hepatic colic, the single dose can be increased once to 2 teaspoons (10 ml), after which the next dose can be returned to the usual single dose (5 ml).
Recommended doses for children: at the age of 2-7 years – 2-4 ml 3 times a day; 7-14 years – 4-5 ml 3 times a day. Dosing is carried out using a dosing syringe.
Urolesan capsules. The drug should be taken orally before meals. Recommended dosage for adults and children over 14 years of age: 1 capsule 3 times a day. In acute conditions (including renal and hepatic colic), the duration of the therapy course is 5-7 days, in chronic conditions – from 7 days to 1 month. In the event of renal and hepatic colic, the single dose can be increased once to 2 capsules, then in subsequent doses, return to the usual single dose (1 capsule).
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, gastritis (except for gastritis with secretory insufficiency), peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum; children with a history of convulsions (febrile or not).
Urolesan is usually well tolerated. in some cases, when using the drug, the following are possible:
from the digestive tract: dyspeptic phenomena (including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain);
from the immune system: allergic reactions, including itching, facial redness, skin rashes, urticaria, angioedema (itching in the throat, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, tongue), anaphylactic shock;
from the CNS and peripheral nervous system: dizziness, general weakness, headache, ataxia, muscle tremors;
from the cardiovascular system: arterial hypertension, arterial hypotension, bradycardia, heart pain.
Do not use the drug if the diameter of the concretions exceeds 3 mm.
Patients with diabetes, as well as patients with high blood glucose, should be careful when using Urolesan in the form of syrup (the composition of the drug includes sugar syrup). The drug in the form of capsules contains excipients lactose and corn starch, so patients with rare hereditary forms of galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome or with increased sensitivity or intolerance to gluten cannot use the drug in this dosage form. Use with caution in patients with bronchial asthma due to the risk of bronchospasm.
The period of pregnancy and breastfeeding. The use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been studied.
Children. Children under the age of 14 are prescribed Urolesan in the form of syrup or liquid. The drug in the form of syrup is not used in children under 2 years of age. If necessary, it is recommended to use Urolesan syrup in children under 7 years of age.
The ability to influence the speed of reaction when driving a motor vehicle or working with other mechanisms. Was not studied.

In case of overdose, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dizziness are possible.
Treatment: plenty of warm drink, rest, taking activated charcoal, prescribing atropine sulfate (0.0005-0.001 g).
