Dolgit cream 50 mg/g tube 50 g

• active substance: ibuprofen;
• 1 g of cream contains 50 mg of ibuprofen;
• excipients: medium-chain triglycerides, glycerol monostearate (E 471), polyoxyethylene-30-stearate, polyoxyethylene-100-stearate, propylene glycol (E 1520), sodium methyl-4-hydroxybenzoate (E 219), xanthan gum (E 415), lavender oil, neroli oil, purified water.

“Dolgit® cream” is contraindicated:

• with increased individual sensitivity to the active ingredient ibuprofen, preservative sodium methyl-4-hydroxybenzoate, propylene glycol, benzyl alcohol, benzyl benzoate, citral, citronellol, coumarin, eugenol, farnesol, geraniol, limonene/d-limonene, linalool or any of the auxiliary substances substances of the medicinal product or to other analgesics and antirheumatic agents;
• for use on open wounds, for inflammatory and infectious skin diseases, such as eczema, as well as for use on mucous membranes;
• in the last trimester of pregnancy.

Frequent: such local reactions as skin redness, itching, burning sensation, exanthema, including with the formation of pustules and blisters; infrequent: such hypersensitivity reactions as local allergic reactions (contact dermatitis); rare: bronchospastic reactions; frequency unknown: photosensitivity reactions.

When using the drug “Dolgit® cream” on large areas of the skin and for a long time, side reactions that affect certain organs or the body as a whole and which are possible with the systemic use of drugs containing ibuprofen cannot be excluded.

Sodium methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate may cause hypersensitivity reactions (possibly delayed).

Benzyl alcohol, benzyl benzoate, citral, citronellol, coumarin, eugenol, farnesol, geraniol, limonene/d-limonene, linalool can cause allergic reactions.

For external use only. Use the medicine 3-4 times a day. Depending on the size of the affected area, apply the cream in a thin layer on the skin in the area of ​​inflammation/pain in strips 4–10 cm long, which corresponds to 2–5 g of cream (100–250 mg of ibuprofen) followed by light rubbing. The maximum daily dose is 20 g of cream (corresponding to 1,000 mg of ibuprofen).

With large hematomas and swellings, at the beginning of the treatment, you can use a cream under an occlusive bandage.

The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor. In most cases, the treatment period is 2-3 weeks. There are no data on the therapeutic benefit of using the drug for a longer period of time.

Penetration of the active component can be enhanced using iontophoresis (a special form of electrotherapy). In this case, apply the drug under the cathode (negative electrode), the current intensity is 0.1–0.5 mA per 5 cm2 of the electrode surface, the duration of the procedure is up to 10 minutes.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

There are insufficient data to assess the safety of ibuprofen use during pregnancy.

The use of the drug in the I-II trimesters of pregnancy is possible only after a careful study of the benefit/risk ratio.

The drug is contraindicated in the last trimester of pregnancy. In connection with suppression of labor activity, there is a risk of prolongation of pregnancy and delay of childbirth, the occurrence of cardiovascular problems (premature closure of the ductus arteriosus, pulmonary hypertension) and renal toxicity (oliguria, oligohydramnios) in the fetus, an increase in the probability of bleeding in the mother and child, increased risk of edema in the mother.

Only a small amount of active derivatives of ibuprofen and its breakdown products penetrate into breast milk. At the moment, there is no data on the negative impact on the newborn, therefore, in the case of short-term treatment, there is no need to interrupt breastfeeding. However, the daily dose with 3-4 times the use of a strip of cream 4-10 cm long cannot be exceeded, and in the case of long-term treatment it is necessary to interrupt breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding women should not apply this medicine to the breast area to avoid getting this medicine into the baby’s body.

Children

Do not use in children under 14 years of age.

The ability to influence the speed of reaction when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

There are no data on the effect of ibuprofen in the form of a cream on the ability to drive a car and work with potentially dangerous mechanisms.

In case of application of a larger amount of cream than recommended, it is necessary to remove the remains of the cream and wash the skin with water. If you use a very large amount or if you accidentally take the cream internally, you should inform your doctor about it. The specific antidote is unknown.

When using the drug externally according to the recommendations, interaction with other medicinal products was not observed.

It is necessary to inform the doctor about the simultaneous treatment with other drugs, if this happens, or about the recently conducted therapy.
