Esberitox is an effective herbal immunostimulant used to strengthen the body’s defenses in case of acute respiratory viral infections. Esberitox helps accelerate the formation of antibodies, stimulates phagocytosis and has an antiviral effect, and also helps reduce the severity of symptoms and shorten the duration of the disease. Despite the fact that Esberitox is a safe drug for strengthening immunity during SARS and can be purchased without a prescription, the use of the drug should be agreed with a doctor and based on individual indications and contraindications.
Pharmacological properties
Baptisia tinctoria – accelerates the formation of antibodies. Acts on B-lymphocytes (specific immunity).
Echinacea purpurea and Echinacea pallido – stimulate phagocytosis (nonspecific immunity).
Thuja – has antiviral effects.
Indication
To increase the body’s resistance as a supportive therapy in the complex treatment of respiratory viral colds.
Application
Adults and children over 12 years of age should take 3-6 tablets 3 times a day.
Children aged 7 to 11 years: 2 tablets 3 times a day.
Children aged 4 to 6 years: 1-2 tablets 3 times a day.
The tablets should be taken with plenty of liquid, preferably water, or dissolved in the mouth in the morning, at lunchtime and in the evening.

Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to the active substances or any of the excipients of the drug. The drug should not be used in patients with progressive systemic diseases (tuberculosis and sarcoidosis); autoimmune diseases (collagenosis, multiple sclerosis); immunodeficiency states (AIDS, HIV infection); immunosuppressive states caused by the use of cytostatic drugs or immunosuppressants, for example after transplantation; hematological diseases (leukemia, agranulocytosis).
Side effects

Interactions
It has been established that the preparation from the root of Echinacea purpurea affects the activity of cytochrome-450 isoforms CYP 3A or CYP 1A2, which are involved in the metabolism of drugs. No studies have been conducted for other components of the drug Esberitox, tablets. This drug has not been sufficiently studied with regard to the above effect. Thus, the drug Esberitox, tablets should not be used together with drugs whose excretion depends on the activity of cytochrome-450 isoforms CYP 3A or CYP 1A2. There are currently no known contraindications to taking the drug Esberitox, tablets, with food and drinks. No relevant studies have been conducted with the drug.
