For purulent wounds, bedsores and ulcers, II and III degree burns, for the preparation of granulated surfaces for skin grafting and secondary suture, an aqueous solution of Furatsilin is used – the wound is irrigated and wet bandages are applied; with osteomyelitis, after the operation, the cavity is washed with an aqueous solution of Furatsilin and a wet bandage is applied; with empyema of the pleura, pus is aspirated and the pleural cavity is washed with the subsequent introduction into it of an aqueous solution of Furatsilin in the amount of 20-100 ml. The drug is also used in other purulent processes that require the appointment of antibacterial agents.
