Pharmacodynamics. A complex homeopathic preparation for the treatment of diseases of the genitourinary system. Has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antispasmodic effects. Normalizes the function of the bladder detrusor. Eliminates urination disorders and unpleasant sensations in the urinary tract.

Chronic cystitis, urethritis, prostatitis and other inflammatory diseases of the genitourinary system; benign prostatic hyperplasia; acute and chronic urinary retention; urinary incontinence; enuresis; pyelonephritis, urolithiasis, renal colic.

In chronic diseases, the initial dose is 5-10 drops 1-3 times a day. If the treatment is not effective, the dose should be increased to 15 drops 3 times a day. The duration of therapy is determined individually, but it should be at least 4-6 weeks.

In acute cases, 5-10 drops are prescribed every 30-60 minutes, but not more than 12 times a day. When the inflammatory phenomena subside, the dose is reduced to 10 drops 3 times a day, in this dose the drug is taken for 1 month.

In the future, they switch to taking the drug in a maintenance dose – 10 drops once a day or every other day for a long time.

The drops are taken 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after eating on a piece of sugar or bread, slowly dissolving them, or with a sip of water, keeping it in the mouth as long as possible.

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, children under 12 years of age, pregnancy and breastfeeding.

After taking the first dose of the drug, a short-term increase in the severity of the main symptoms is possible (homeopathic effect of the first dose). In this case, it is necessary to temporarily reduce the dose or frequency of taking the drug. The first signs of improvement in the condition appear 1 week after the start of treatment.

The use of the drug for pregnant women and children under 12 years of age should be limited due to the alcohol content. In recommended doses, the drug does not affect the reaction rate when driving or working with potentially dangerous mechanisms, however, the alcohol content in the drug should be taken into account. Smoking, drinking alcohol and tonic drinks (coffee, tea) weaken the effect of homeopathic remedies.

Use this drug with caution in patients with blood clotting disorders before surgical or dental procedures, as this drug may increase bleeding. Use with caution in patients with high blood pressure, as this drug may increase blood pressure. Blood pressure should be monitored periodically. After taking the first dose of the drug, a short-term exacerbation of the main symptoms of the disease is possible (homeopathic effect of the first dose). In this case, you should stop using the drug and consult a doctor. The first signs of improvement should be expected 1 week after the start of treatment. The drug contains alcohol, so use it with caution in patients with liver disease, epilepsy, brain disease or injury. If blood appears in the urine, constant urine leakage due to an overfilled bladder, and painful urges to urinate, combined with a sudden inability to urinate (acute urinary retention), you should immediately consult a doctor.

This medicine contains 69% ethanol. Taking the entire contents of the bottle (50 ml) is equivalent to ingesting 27.23 g of alcohol.

Not for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to the presence of alcohol in the medicine and insufficient data on the use of the medicine in this category of patients.

In recommended doses, it does not affect the reaction speed when driving or working with mechanisms, but it should be borne in mind that the drug contains alcohol.

Cases of incompatibility with other drugs have not been sufficiently studied. When using the drug “Homvio-Prostan” together with anticoagulants (for example, phenprocoumon, warfarin, clopidogrel), the effect of anticoagulants may increase. When using the drug simultaneously with acetylsalicylic acid and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, the risk of bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract is increased. When using the drug simultaneously with an antiandrogen, the effect of these drugs may increase. During hormone replacement therapy with testosterone or other androgens, their effectiveness may decrease. Smoking, drinking alcohol and stimulants (tea, coffee) may weaken the effect of homeopathic remedies. When using other drugs, you should inform your doctor.

The use of the drug in an excessive dose, especially in children, can cause alcohol intoxication.
