Ibuprofen 400 is a drug that affects the musculoskeletal system. Anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic agent. Ibuprofen.

Composition

  • 1 tablet contains 400 mg of ibuprofen;
  • auxiliary substances: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, lactose monohydrate, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, sodium lauryl sulfate, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E 171), talc, macrogol 4000.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or to any of the components of the drug.

Hypersensitivity reactions (such as bronchial asthma, rhinitis, angioedema or urticaria) previously observed after the use of ibuprofen, acetylsalicylic acid/aspirin or other NSAIDs in the anamnesis.

Peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and/or duodenum or gastrointestinal bleeding in an active form, or relapses in history (two or more pronounced episodes of peptic ulcer disease or bleeding in the past).

Acute or previous inflammatory bowel diseases (such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis).

History of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation associated with previous use of NSAIDs.

Method of application

A single dose for children over 12 years of age with a body weight > 40 kg and adults is 1 tablet (400 mg of ibuprofen). If necessary, you can use 1 tablet every 6 hours. The maximum daily dose is 1200 mg (3 tablets per day). Use the minimum effective dose needed to treat symptoms for the shortest period of time.

Features of application

Patients with a history of gastrointestinal disorders, especially elderly patients, should report any unusual gastrointestinal symptoms (mainly bleeding), especially gastrointestinal bleeding at the start of treatment.

If gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration occurs in patients receiving ibuprofen, treatment should be discontinued immediately.

Ibuprofen should not be taken during the first two trimesters of pregnancy unless clearly necessary.

Ibuprofen is contraindicated in the third trimester of pregnancy.

Children

Do not use in children under 12 years of age and body weight < 40 kg.

Drivers

After taking NSAIDs, undesirable phenomena such as dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue and visual disturbances are possible. If such phenomena appeared during the use of NSAIDs, patients should not drive vehicles or work with other mechanisms.

Overdose

In most patients, overdose symptoms develop within 4-6 hours after taking a large amount of ibuprofen.

The most common symptoms of overdose include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, lethargy and drowsiness.

Side effects

Infections and infestations: Rhinitis, aseptic meningitis (especially in patients with preexisting autoimmune disorders such as systemic lupus erythematosus and mixed connective tissue disease) with symptoms of occipital muscle stiffness, headache, nausea, vomiting, fever, or disorientation.

From the blood and lymphatic system: aplastic anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, agranulocytosis, hemolytic anemia, which may occur during long-term treatment, the first signs of which are a sore throat, superficial ulcers in the oral cavity, flu-like symptoms, severe exhaustion , bleeding of unknown origin and bruising.

From the nervous system: headache, dizziness, reduced sensitivity (especially in combination with alcohol), paresthesia, drowsiness.

On the part of the organs of vision: visual impairment, toxic amblyopia, toxic optic neuropathy, optic neuritis.

On the part of the organs of hearing and labyrinth disorders: hearing impairment, vertigo, tinnitus and dizziness are possible with long-term treatment.

Storage conditions

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not higher than 30°C.
