The medicine “peppermint leaves” is used for the following indications:

  • diseases of the digestive tract (nausea of ​​various origins, intestinal colic, flatulence, spasms of the digestive tract);
  • liver diseases (cholecystitis, hepatitis, cholangitis, gallstone disease);
  • as a mild sedative (as part of complex therapy).

Composition

The active ingredient is peppermint leaves.

Contraindication

  • hypersensitivity to biologically active substances of the drug;
  • spasmophilia, croup, bronchial asthma.

Method of application

Place one tablespoon of leaves in an enameled dish, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and insist in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze the residue into the strained infusion. Bring the volume of the infusion to 200 ml with boiled water. Take warm 2-3 times a day 15 minutes before meals:

  • adults and children over 14 years old – 1 / 2-1 / 3 cup;
  • children 12-14 years old – 1/4 cup;
  • children 7-12 years old – two tablespoons;
  • children 3-7 years old – one tablespoon.

The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the doctor individually. Shake the infusion before use.
