Sea buckthorn oil is used for the following indications:
- Locally, externally used in the treatment of burns, bedsores, radiation injuries of the skin and mucous membranes, gynecological diseases (colpitis, endocervicitis, cervical erosion), proctological pathologies (erosive-ulcerative, atrophic and other pathologies of the rectum, anal fissures, hemorrhoids).
- Take internally as part of a comprehensive treatment for esophageal pathology, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer.
- In the form of inhalations, use in the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract (nasopharynx, vocal cords, trachea, bronchi).
- The drug is used topically for the treatment of chronic and in the recovery period after acute pathology of the tonsils (tonsillitis, angina), maxillary sinuses (sinusitis), corneas of the eyes (keratitis), connective membranes of the eyes (conjunctivitis), inflammation of the eyelid margins (blepharitis), and corneal ulcers.
Composition
Active ingredient: Hippophaeae oleum;
1 bottle contains sea buckthorn oil – 50 ml;
Excipients: sunflower oil.
Contraindication
Sensitivity to the drug. Internal use of the drug is contraindicated in inflammatory processes of the gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and cholelithiasis.
Method of application
The drug can be used externally, internally or by inhalation.
In case of pathological skin processes, the drug should be applied externally, every other day, in the form of oil bandages, after cleaning the affected skin surface from necrotic tissues until areas of tissue regeneration appear.

Pregnant women
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the drug is used as prescribed by a doctor only when the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or child.
Children
The drug should be used in children after a doctor assesses the benefit/risk ratio.
Drivers
No effect.
Overdose
Overdose may cause nausea, vomiting, headache, confusion, convulsions, diarrhea, skin rash, desquamation of the epithelium. Oliguria may develop. In some cases, shock states occur.
In this case, gastric lavage, administration of activated charcoal or other types of adsorbents and appropriate symptomatic therapy are necessary.
Side effects
Individual hypersensitivity to the drug is possible. From the gastrointestinal tract, bitterness in the mouth (with internal use), diarrhea are possible. From the immune system, allergic reactions are possible, itching, hyperemia, swelling of the skin, rash, burning (with external use). When inhaled, breathing disorders are possible due to bronchospasm, excessive salivation.
Interaction
Pathological effects on the human body due to the interaction of sea buckthorn oil with other drugs have not been described.
Storage conditions
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C out of the reach of children.
