Adults and children over 6 years of age: rinse the mouth or throat with 10-15 ml of solution (1 tablespoon) for 30 seconds, repeating the procedure 2-3 times a day after meals. The solution can be applied to the affected surface with a swab. If the symptoms of the disease do not disappear after 5 days of treatment and / or are accompanied by an increase in body temperature, the feasibility of further use of the drug should be considered.

The drug is usually well tolerated. Azorubine (E122) can cause allergic reactions, the likelihood of which increases in people with an allergy to acetylsalicylic acid. In isolated cases, the following allergic reactions have been described: urticaria, hyperemia at the site of application, urticaria, angioedema. Local irritant effects are possible: a feeling of dryness, increased sensitivity, burning of the tongue and / or oral mucosa. Other side effects (short-term anesthesia, impaired taste and smell) are very rare.

Use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Systemic absorption of hexetidine with topical application of Stomatidin is so insignificant that undesirable effects on the fetus during pregnancy or on the child during breastfeeding are unlikely. However, the use of the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding is possible if, in the opinion of the doctor, the expected positive effect for the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus / child.

Children. It is not recommended to use Stomatidin in children under 6 years of age.
