Metrogyl Denta is a medicine that helps eliminate bleeding and inflammation of the gums up to 100% and prevent them from receding.
Metrogyl Denta is used for gingivitis, periodontitis, injuries of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity caused by dentures, alveoli (inflammation of the cavity after tooth extraction), as well as for the prevention of exacerbations of chronic gingivitis and periodontitis.
Key characteristics
Metrogyl Denta® is suitable for the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the periodontium and the mucous membrane of the oral cavity: it fights inflammation and bleeding gums. It can help reduce gum bleeding after just 3 days. The average course of treatment is 7-10 days.
An effective combination of antiseptic and antibiotic: due to the combination of chlorhexidine and metronidazole, Metrogyl Denta has an antiseptic and antibacterial effect on a wide range of microorganisms that cause inflammation of the gums.

Composition
The effect of Metrogyl Denta gum gel is due to the presence of two antibacterial components in its composition:
- Metronidazole is active against anaerobic bacteria that cause periodontal disease.
- Chlorhexidine is an antiseptic and antimicrobial agent, active against gram-negative and gram-positive anaerobic and aerobic bacteria.
Indications for use
Metrogyl Denta is a universal drug for complex treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity, such as:
- Catarrhal, hypertrophic gingivitis, acute and chronic course.
- Acute ulcerative-necrotic gingivitis (Vincent’s gingivitis).
- Generalized periodontitis, chronic and acute course.
- Oral mucosal injury caused by dental prostheses
- Alveolitis (inflammation of the socket after tooth extraction).
Similarly, Metrogyl Denta is suitable for the prevention of exacerbations of chronic gingivitis and periodontitis.
Method of application
- Apply to the gum area 2 times a day with a thin layer (with a finger or with a cotton swab);
- After using the gel, you should refrain from drinking and eating for 30 minutes;
- The duration of the therapy course is 7-10 days on average.
Adverse reactions are possible
