Pharmacological properties of Turpentine ointment
Turpentine ointment refers to drugs that irritate nerve endings, have a distracting, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, analgesic effect. The distracting effect is due to the ability to penetrate the epidermis and cause reflex changes as a result of irritation of skin receptors. The effect of the drug is also due to the release of biologically active substances (histamine) in the skin.
Indication
Neuralgia, myositis, arthritis, rheumatism.
Application
Externally, for rubbing painful areas of the skin 2-3 times a day. The duration of use is determined by the nature of the disease.
Contraindication
Kidney and liver diseases, skin diseases of various nature.
