Sometimes you want to forget that you have this unpleasant disease… But even if you don’t look in the mirror, you won’t be able to forget… After all, you feel tingling, burning, swelling on your face, sometimes mild unpleasant sensations, and sometimes heat… But the unpleasant sensations seem to have passed and you run to the mirror to make sure that the disease is gone, but no… You see your reddened skin again and this unpleasant rash in the form of pimples, which are so reminiscent of teenage rashes… This is a papulopustular form of rosacea – this is the diagnosis made by the doctor.
What to do and what to use with such a diagnosis? One of the drugs that has been shown to be highly effective in rosacea in numerous studies is Ivermectin. Since the Demodex mite can be the cause of rosacea, and Ivermectin has an antiparasitic effect, its use is really effective in rosacea. Ivermectin also has anti-inflammatory activity. It is not an antibiotic, so it does not develop addiction and can be used for a long time – from several months to a year. In addition to its high effectiveness, Ivermectin, being a safe drug, demonstrates good tolerability. Taking into account all these factors, Ivermectin was included in the treatment protocols for rosacea.
