Methionine coated tablets of 250 mg, 50 pcs

• active substance: 1 tablet contains DL-methionine 250 mg;
• excipients: potato starch, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, calcium stearate, polysorbate;
• shell: sugar, light magnesium carbonate, povidone, colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), Ponceau 4R dye (E 124), yellow wax, light mineral oil.

Acute viral hepatitis, hepatic encephalopathy, severe liver failure, hypersensitivity to the drug.

From the side of the immune system: allergic reactions.

From the gastrointestinal tract: nausea, vomiting.

Adults are prescribed 500-1500 mg 3-4 times a day.

Single doses for children: at the age of 3-6 years – 250 mg, at the age of 7 years – 500 mg.

Frequency of reception – 3-4 times a day.

The medicine should be used 30 minutes to 1 hour before meals.

The course of treatment is 10-30 days or 10 days with 10-day breaks between these courses.

In acute and chronic renal failure, caution should be exercised due to the risk of hyperazotemia. Unbalanced use of methionine in large doses can lead to liver cell damage.

Because of the unpleasant smell, children should take medicine with sweet syrup, jelly.

The medicinal product contains sugar, which should be taken into account by patients with diabetes.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding

During pregnancy or breastfeeding, the use of the drug is possible only if the benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus/child.

Children

This medicinal form should not be used by children under 3 years of age.

The ability to influence the speed of reaction when driving vehicles or other mechanisms

Symptoms: arterial hypotension, tachycardia, disorientation are possible.

Treatment: gastric lavage, appointment of activated charcoal, symptomatic therapy.

The use of methionine in a balanced ratio with other amino acids prevents its toxic effect.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not higher than 25 ºС.
