OKERO antiparasitic tablet for cats is a parasiticide in the form of tablets used for the prevention and treatment of cats and kittens from ectoparasites (arthropods: fleas, tapeworms, lice, ticks, etc.), as well as against endoparasites (nematodes, cestodes).
COMPOSITION
100 mg of the drug contains:
– active ingredients: lufenuron 10 mg, nitenpyram 3 mg, selamectin 0.3 mg, praziquantel 5 mg;
– excipients: artificial flavor, microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, lactose.
INDICATIONS
The drug is prescribed to cats for the treatment and prevention of infestation with:
● fleas;
● lice;
● sarcoptic mange mites: ( ear mites (otodectosis), scabies mites (sarcoptic mange mites), subcutaneous mites (notoederosis);
● trombidiform mites: demodicosis ;
● gastrointestinal nematodes: causing toxocariasis, hookworm, uncinariasis, trichuris, strongyloidiasis ;
● respiratory nematodes;
● cestodes in the preimaginal and imaginal stages;
─ Prevention of allergic flea dermatitis.
─ Prevention of heartworm disease: Dirofilaria spp. ( microdirofilariae L3 and L4 stages).
Administration. The product is intended for oral use. The salmon flavouring promotes better animal intake of the product. If the tablet is not taken voluntarily by the animals, it can also be given with food or directly into the mouth.
A single application of tablets against fleas, allergic flea dermatitis prevents re-infestation for 4-6 weeks. The insecticidal effect of the drug appears after 24 hours, reaching a maximum level after 48 hours.
In case of helminthiasis in animals, the drug is used for therapeutic purposes according to indications once; in case of severe infestation, the treatment is recommended to be repeated after 10-14 days. For prophylactic purposes, the drug is used in a therapeutic dose once every 3 months.
WARNINGS
Do not use in kittens under 6 weeks of age and weighing up to 0.5 kg.
Do not use in emaciated animals or animals with infectious diseases!
The possibility of using the drug during pregnancy and lactation is determined by a veterinarian, taking into account possible risks.
The drug should not be used with other antiparasitic agents containing macrocyclic lactones, as well as with piperazine and drugs that inhibit cholinesterase.
