Citicoline is a natural, physiological and main precursor in the synthesis of phospholipids of neuronal membranes. Provides structural restoration of the integrity of damaged membranes of nerve cells, reduces the content of phospholipases, preventing apoptotic and necrotic cell death. Is a growth factor for nerve fibers of the optic nerve in degenerative ophthalmological pathologies. Due to the temporary and reversible relaxation of the corneal epithelial barrier and a low concentration (0.01%) of benzalkonium chloride – a penetration enhancer, citicoline penetrates the anterior chamber of the eye and, by diffusion, through the vitreous body and uveo-scleral space reaches the retina and optic disc.

Hyaluronic acid is one of the main components of the extracellular matrix, which is contained in many biological fluids (saliva, synovial fluid, vitreous humor, etc.). It plays an important role in tissue hydrodynamics, in cell proliferation and migration, has proangiogenic properties, mucoadhesive and viscoelastic effects, improves the stability of the tear film and keeps the ocular surface lubricated, moisturized and protected, creates a favorable microenvironment for the processes of re-epithelialization, restoration of the ocular surface in case of corneal and conjunctival injuries. It helps to retain the active components of the drug on the surface of the eye (tear film) and prolongs the contact period of the citicoline molecule with the structures of the eye, in addition, it acts as a conductor and promotes the migration of citicoline into the anterior chamber of the eye and the vitreous humor.

Hypersensitivity to components
