Method of application
Before using Otigel, it is necessary to hygienically clean the external auditory canals. To use Otigel, it is necessary to attach a soft nozzle to the aluminum tube. Inject a small amount of the drug (the size of a pea) into the ear canal, then carefully massage it at the base of the ear. Remove excess drug near the auricle. Otigel is used once a day for 10 days. If necessary, the course of treatment must be repeated. The drug must be administered into both ears, even if one ear is affected.
Contraindication
Do not use in animals with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, as well as in perforated eardrums. Do not use in cats weighing less than 1.5 kg, as well as in kittens younger than 8 weeks.
Reservation
Before using the drug, it is necessary to check the integrity of the eardrum. After treatment, mild to moderate redness of the ears may be observed, which does not require specific therapy. In some cases, hearing impairment has been observed, usually temporary and primarily in older animals. In cats, neurological clinical signs such as ataxia and tremor may occur in some cases.
