Pharmacodynamics. The phenolic hydrophobic preparation of propolis (a product of bees’ vital activity) has antimicrobial (against staphylococci, intestinal, Pseudomonas aeruginosa), antifungal (against fungi of the genus Candida), anti-inflammatory, wound-healing, and deodorizing effects.

Ascorbic acid is involved in the regulation of redox processes, carbohydrate metabolism, blood clotting, tissue regeneration. It has a general stimulating effect, increases the body’s resistance to infections, and normalizes capillary permeability.

Pharmacokinetics: Not studied.

As part of the complex treatment of acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity, pharynx and larynx (stomatitis, pharyngitis, nasopharyngitis, laryngitis, laryngotracheitis), inflammatory processes after tonsillectomy and other surgical interventions on ENT organs, radiation epithelitis.

Prescribed for adults and children over the age of 15. Tablets dissolve in the mouth.

Acute and chronic diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx (stomatitis, pharyngitis, nasopharyngitis). Prescribe 1-2 tablets 3 times a day.

Laryngitis, laryngotracheitis. Prescribe 2 tablets every 2 hours on the first day (8-10 tablets per day). Then 1-2 tablets 3 times a day.

Radiation epitheliitis. In the treatment of radiation epitheliitis of I and II degree, 1 tablet is prescribed 3-4 times a day, III degree – 1 tablet 4-6 times a day.

The course of treatment is 5-10 days, depending on the therapeutic effect, tolerability of the drug, and the nature of the complex therapy.

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, acute eczema, age up to 15 years.

Allergic reactions are possible (itching, skin hyperemia, rash).

Patients with hypersensitivity to bee products (including a history) have an increased risk of developing allergic reactions to Proalor.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding. During pregnancy, Proalor should be used under the supervision of a physician, taking into account the benefit/risk ratio. If necessary, use during breastfeeding should be discontinued.

Effects on the ability to drive or operate machinery. Proalor should be used with caution by drivers of vehicles, as false results of alcohol tests may be observed.

Proalor is not recommended for use simultaneously with other antiseptics or beekeeping products, multivitamins, hormonal contraceptives, alkaline drinking solutions. Ascorbic acid, which is part of the drug, increases the absorption of penicillin, iron, reduces the effect of heparin, indirect anticoagulants, increases the risk of crystalluria during treatment with salicylates.

Possible increase in side effects of the drug. In case of allergic reactions, the drug should be discontinued and antihistamines should be prescribed.
