• active ingredient: 1 suppository contains lyophilized from an aqueous solution of bovine prostate extract obtained by extraction, in terms of peptides, not less than 0.0024 g;
• excipients: glycine, polysorbate 80, pumpkin seed oil, solid fat.

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, in particular to bovine proteins.

Allergic reactions: itching, skin hyperemia, skin rashes; changes at the injection site: burning sensation.

The suppository is removed from the packaging and inserted deep into the anus.

Apply 1 suppository 1–2 times a day (morning and evening) for 5–10 days.

The duration of the course is determined by the nature and severity of the disease, the achieved therapeutic effect, the nature of the therapy (monotherapy or complex treatment). If necessary, the course can be repeated after 1–6 months.

Use with caution in atherosclerosis, increased risk of thromboembolism. With prolonged use of high doses of the drug, it is necessary to monitor blood clotting time. When treating with the drug, it is recommended to analyze clinical indicators of prostate activity (prostate-specific antigen). The drug is practically free of sodium and potassium.

No cases of overdose with suppositories containing bovine prostate extract have been reported.

When using high doses of the drug (more than 400 mg per day for a long time), dyspeptic disorders, fatigue, general weakness, headache, creatinuria, increased creatine kinase activity, increased cholesterol and triglyceride concentrations, decreased thyroxine and triiodothyronine concentrations in blood serum, increased estrogen and androgen levels in urine are possible. There is no specific antidote. Treatment is symptomatic.

Drug interactions with VITAPROST have not been studied.
