Traumeel S tablets are a complex homeopathic preparation. They are used to treat pain syndrome of varying intensity that accompanies inflammatory and degenerative processes. They are produced by the German pharmaceutical company Heel.

1 tablet contains active ingredients of mineral and plant origin:

• Achillea millefolium (tree) D3 — 15 mg;
• Aconitum napellus (aconite) D3 — 30 mg;
• Arnica montana (mountain arnica) D2 — 15 mg;
• Atropa belladonna (ordinary belladonna) D4 — 75 mg;
• Bellis perennis (perennial daisy) D2 — 6 mg;
• Calendula officinalis (marigold) D2 — 15 mg;
• Echinacea (echinacea) D2 — 6 mg;
• Echinacea purpurea D2 — 6 mg;
• Hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) D2 — 15 mg;
• Hepar sulfuris (hepar sulfur) D8 — 30 mg;
• Hypericum perforatum (St. John’s wort) D2 — 3 mg;
• Matricaria recutita (chamomile) D3 — 24 mg;
• Mercurius solubilis Hahnemanni (mercurius solubilis) D8 — 30 mg;
• Symphytum officinale (comfrey) D8 — 24 mg.

Excipients: magnesium stearate, lactose monohydrate.

“Traumeel S” – round lozenges from white to yellow-white color, having a flat-cylindrical shape. The presence of orange inclusions is allowed. Odorless or with a sweetish odor.

The drug has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-exudative effects, accelerates the body’s recovery process. It has immunocorrective properties, activates the body’s defenses.

Traumeel S tablets can be prescribed as part of a comprehensive treatment for the following diseases and conditions:

• for tissue damage due to sports or household injuries (sprains, dislocations, bruises, hematomas, fractures of bones and joints, concussion);
• for acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the musculoskeletal system (tendovaginitis, shoulder-scapular periarthritis, bursitis, arthritis of the hip, knee joints, and joints of the foot and hand);
• for diseases of the dentofacial apparatus (periodontitis, periodontitis, gingivitis);
• with osteochondrosis.

Children under 12 years of age are given tablets in a special way: they are added to room temperature water, previously boiled. One tablet is ground into powder and dissolved in 20 ml of water (4 teaspoons).

A single dosage is selected according to age:

• children under one year: 1 teaspoon;
• 1–6 years: 2 teaspoons;
• 6–12 years: 3 teaspoons;
• children over 12 years of age and adults: 1 tablet under the tongue, hold until completely dissolved.

A single dose should be taken 3 times a day. The time of administration is 15–20 minutes before meals or 1 hour after.

In acute onset of the disease, it is recommended to take a single age-appropriate dose every 15 minutes. This dosage regimen is maintained for the first 2 hours. Then switch to three times daily use of the medication. The total duration of treatment is 2–4 weeks.

The drug contains lactose, therefore patients with rare hereditary forms of galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome should not take the medicine.

If, despite taking the tablets, the symptoms of the disease persist or the patient’s condition worsens, you should immediately consult a doctor for advice.

The medication does not affect the speed of psychomotor reactions, and its use does not constitute a restriction on driving.

For children

Allowed for use according to indications for children from birth.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding

No adverse reactions have been reported, so the drug is prescribed after an individual assessment of the benefit-risk ratio for the woman and the child.

The use of tablets is usually well tolerated, but may cause adverse reactions, which are expressed in hypersensitivity reactions to Asteraceae plants (e.g. arnica, calendula, yarrow) or to other components of the drug, hypersalivation, allergies (skin rash, hives, itching, redness, swelling) may occur. Echinacea extract in the composition of a homeopathic remedy can provoke adverse reactions from the gastrointestinal tract (pain and discomfort in the abdomen, nausea), menstrual disorders, acne, hives, overexcitement, insomnia, very rarely – a decrease in diastolic and systolic pressure, difficulty breathing, facial swelling.

If such adverse reactions occur, the use of the drug should be discontinued.

Traumeel S tablets have the following contraindications for use:

• hypersensitivity to the components or excipients of the drug;
• allergic reactions to plants in the composition of the drug (arnica, chamomile, yarrow or other plants of the Asteraceae family);
• tuberculosis;
• diseases of the blood system;
• leukemia;
• autoimmune diseases;
• multiple sclerosis;
• AIDS, HIV infections, immunosuppression or immunodeficiency of various etiologies;
• chronic viral diseases;
• inflammatory diseases of connective tissues (collagen diseases).

The tablets are packed in white propylene pencil cases of 50 pieces. One cardboard box contains 1 pencil case complete with instructions for use.

 “Traumeel S” (dissolvable tablets) is available in pharmacies without a doctor’s prescription.

No clinically significant drug interactions with other drugs have been identified, so co-administration with other medications is possible.

Recommended storage temperature is from +15 to +25 °C. Keep out of the reach of children.
